Research Tool

Peptide Reconstitution Calculator

Enter vial mass, diluent volume, and target dose to calculate the exact draw volume and syringe units for in-vitro reconstitution protocols.

For Research Use Only. This calculator supports in-vitro reconstitution protocols for research-grade reference compounds. It is not medical advice and must not be used to prepare material for human or animal administration. Always follow applicable laws and institutional research protocols.

Instructions

Step 1: Add 2 mL of bacteriostatic water to the 5 mg vial. Swirl gently until dissolved. Step 2: Using a 1 mL (U-100) insulin syringe, draw to the 10-unit mark (0.10 mL) for a 250 mcg dose.

All inputs are normalized to base units before calculation: peptide mass to mg, dose to mg, volume to mL. If you enter a dose in mcg, the engine divides by 1,000 to convert to mg first.

Concentration = Peptide Amount (mg) / Water Volume (mL)

Draw Volume = Desired Dose (mg) / Concentration (mg/mL)

Syringe Units = Draw Volume (mL) x 100(U-100 standard: 100 units = 1 mL, so 1 unit = 0.01 mL)

Doses per Vial = Total Peptide (mg) / Dose Amount (mg)
